Mag. p. 818, 55) in our lit. only in a bad sense derogatory information about someone that is offered in a tone of confidentiality, (secret) gossip, tale-bearing (Philodem., De Ira p. 55 W.; GrBar 8, 5 [pl.]; 13, 4 [sing.], in the two last passages not far fr. καταλαλιά; Cat.
